The author wrote this book because she discovered that many young girls avoided seeing family and friends, joining clubs or teams and even stopped eating. This book tells young girls everywhere that they’re perfect just the way they are, teaches about the importance of self-love and self-care, which helps build resilience, knowing that they understand that they’re capable of anything. This book also embraces diversity. With images of different body types and skin colours. It has pictures of girls in wheelchairs and girls who dress in different ways which emphasises the importance of embracing others despite their differences.
