What This Book Is About
Children are vulnerable to exploitation and abuse even if they’re in their own home or in the company of family and friends. Having the mindset that they are completely safe from these risks are not protecting them. Teaching them about protective behaviours should start at an early age so that they can protect themselves the moment they spot any red flags.
This book is narrated by a young girl named Clara, who helps kids learn the value of saying “No!”. The book shares valuable lessons to kids like:
- Kids should be proud of their own body because it is unique to them
- Their body is their own
- They can say “No!” to anything that makes them feel uncomfortable
- They need to tell trusted adults if they feel that they were touched the wrong way
- The right adults will believe them regardless of how young they are

They give a reminder about the importance of building a strong foundation in terms of body safety in their kids so that they eventually grow up into confident and empowered adults.
