Reflection and Comments
Conversations about puberty are often awkward especially when it comes to boys. But the awkwardness shouldn’t stop you from wanting to help your sons learn more about this critical stage in their lives. After all, their experience throughout puberty can impact the kind of men they turn out to be when they get older.
What we love about this book is that it helps parents initiate these tough conversations with their kids. Since this is meant for pre-pubescent boys, you won’t find conversations here about sex and relationships. It’s good that this book just focuses on puberty alone so that readers won’t feel overwhelmed. It does talk about things like masturbation and erections, but those are also an integral part of this stage.
The fun activities that come with the book are probably the best part. It emphasizes that this should be a fun learning activity for the young boys reading the book.
