Reflection and Comments
A huge part of why men become the men they are when they are adults stems from the support they had when they were starting to discover things about their body and about sex. This makes it important to give young men all the information they need to be informed and to make good decisions.
We love that this book doesn’t just stick to the physical aspects of puberty but discusses in detail the emotional aspects as well. Conversations about emotions tend to be brushed aside when it comes to boys. The more they understand their emotions work especially the many changes that occur during puberty, supports their maturity and wellbeing.
We also love that this book talks about things like what to expect if a girl gets pregnant and what responsibilities come with having a baby. Some readers might think that this is way too much information, but we believe that they could exercise more diligence when they know what they’re potentially facing when they do not make careful decisions.
This book does not cover porn and online safety, but none the less it is very comprehensive as is.
