What This Book Is About
The book talks about a basic rule that every kid should learn and understand – what’s under my pants belongs only to me! And others can’t touch there or ask me to see.
The book features two smiling kids with superhero capes who are helping kids understand how to protect themselves in a fun way. The book talks about:
- How everything covered by underwear should not be seen or touched by anyone
- How they should not see what’s under anyone else’s underpants, too
- What kids can do when someone breaks the rule
- How there are certain people who are exceptions to the rule, like Mum or a doctor
Reflection and Comments
Talking about body safety is quite tricky. You want your kids to be aware of the dangers they could be facing, but not too scared especially when it comes to young children
What we love about this book is that it teaches body safety in a fun and easy to understand way. It has colourful pictures that are perfect for the book’s intended audience, and the fact that it shares information in repetitive rhyme is a huge plus, knowing that kids can easily memorise it and read it again and again.
