Short Summary

The Bare Naked Book is a book about the human body including genitals in an open and fun way written by Kathy Stinson and illustrated by Melissa Cho for kids aged 3 to 5.

What This Book Is About

Everyone has bodies, and while most body parts are the same, a lot of things are also different! This book describes all the ways that different bodies can be unique from others including genitals. Some examples of these differences are:

  • Some bodies are big, others are small
  • Some are young, some are old
  • Some hairs are curly, others are straight
  • Some have eyes that see while some are blind
  • Some ears can hear, some cannot

Reflection and Comments

With colourful illustrations showing how different people look, allowing them to appreciate what makes each person special. It’s a great way to teach kids about diversity and acceptance and will show them at a young age that it’s okay to be different.
