The book shares some of the rituals animals have while mating – and yes, it does it in rhyme:
- How a male bee’s testicles explode
- How male giraffes taste the female giraffe’s urine
- How male parrots vomit in the female parrot’s mouth
- How hippos fire poop at each other
Reflection and Comments
Although there are a number of other sex ed books that share information in an age-appropriate way, this is definitely an interesting take on how to make the “birds and the bees” conversation a fun experience.
The book paints a clear picture of how animals have sex, showing our kids that not only is sex a universal thing.
