What This Book Is About
When a kid’s mum is anticipating a baby, they often have lots of questions. In this book, the author shares how a child might look at the entire scenario. Thinking that there might be a house inside their mum’s tummy, the kid in the story also believes that:
- His sibling is growing comfortably inside the house in his mum’s tummy
- There’s a kitchen where the baby eats
- The baby seems to want really funny stuff to eat
- Mum feels sick most of the time, but that’s normal if you had a house in your tummy, too
Reflection and Comments
The story is a fun way to show what kids might be thinking, especially if they have no idea what’s going on while their mums are pregnant. It answers the curiosity and imagination that kids have, while also giving parents the opportunity to provide clear explanations about what’s really happening.
